We are seeking for a laundry attendant to work with our establishment. You are responsible to maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry facility. You will clean, dry, fold, and organize laundry items according to standards. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for the position.

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities

Laundry Attendants perform multiple tasks ranging from washing and folding laundry items to operating commercial laundry and steam cleaning equipment. Laundry Attendant job duties and responsibilities include:

• Sorting: Sort and separate soiled laundry items based on color, fabric type, and washing instructions.
• Pre-treat stains on laundry items before washing to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
• Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
• Load and unload laundry machines, adjusting settings and detergent quantities as necessary.
• Monitor laundry machines during the washing and drying cycles to ensure proper performance and make adjustments if needed.
• Inspect laundered items for quality control, identifying and addressing any issues or damages.
• Remove and fold dried laundry items promptly to prevent wrinkling or damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, including wiping down machines, emptying lint traps, and disposing of trash.
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener as needed
• Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable cabin information
• Keep track of inventory levels for laundry supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed

Laundry Attendant Required Skills

1. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure laundry items are

properly sorted and processed.

2. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

3. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods,

and perform repetitive tasks.

4. Knowledge of different fabric types and their appropriate care instructions.

5. Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and follow

instructions.

6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate in a team

environment.
